Well, to the surprise of no one (not me at least), I was notified today that the bird site owned #Revue (email #newsletter #subscription service) is shutting down.
“From January 12, 2023, it will no longer be possible to access your Revue account. On that date, Revue will shut down and all data will be deleted.”
Martijn de Kuijper
One thing to note: The shutdown news comes just one day after, one of the original co-founders of the bird site, Jack posted the following “a native internet protocol for social media” on Revue yesterday, in which there’s a link to his own competing platform #bluesky and mentions #Mastodon.
Please make sure to migrate out of any other services owned by this company as soon as possible.
My #wordpress site is using the #ActivityPub plugin By Matthias Pfefferle.
I like the idea of having a #Fediverse account, along with the ability to follow my #blog (and posts) on Mastodon and other federated platforms.
Looks like 4GB is no longer enough, the computer started up like this:
“Your computer does not have enough free memory to automatically analyze the problem and send a report to the developers.”
I will never know what the “problem” was.
What happened next will shock you. 😱
I no longer have Netflix…😎
The #100DaysToOffload is a challenge to publish 100 posts on a personal blog in a year. It’s never to late to start!
Many places have a “restaurant week” in April. This year I will participate and see how things are going.
